I'm Chris Crawford, owner of Powertalk Graphic Design in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA (that's me leaning on the Route 66 liiight pole). Phone 505-765-1948 or e-mail info@ptgd.com. Other panos of this area can be seen at my web site at http://www.ptgd.com
My pano was shot in front of the Route 66 Diner right smack-dab in the heart of old Route 66 (remember the song? - From Chicago to L.A.). I give special thanks to our very own KOAT TV for showing up to do a public interest story on the event (actually, I think the camera man just wanted in the pano!).
I shot 12 shots with Kodak Royal Gold 200 with my trusty old Olympus OM-1n. They were stitched with QTVR 2.0 Authoring Suite, and diced with Jon Summer's PanoMatic om my PPC 8500/150 (with 1 gross of ram).
We got about for inches of snow on 12/20 (the day before the shoot) but by 12:00 noon here in Mountain Standard Time, most of it had melted away. Thats life in the high desert! The guy with the clock (at EXACTLY 12:00 noon on 12/21/97) is also holding the Albuquerque Journal's Sunday 12/21/97 edition. What a way to prove the time and place!!!
This fine old diner burned to the ground about a year ago, and the dedicated owner re-built it from scratch to its historical originality. If you want the best chocolate malt in the world, come on down.
